Over the past few seasons, we have been able to provide various pieces of hockey and ringette equipment to numerous Island kids. During registration in September 2017, we hosted another gear exchange day. We currently have a good supply of pants, shoulder pads, shin pads and skates. We could certainly use some hockey gloves, throat guards and elbow pads. All donations are very much appreciated; thanks to all of your donations over the past four years, we have probably saved families over $100,000.

For any parent(s) or older kids that may want to get involved in recreational hockey, we do have adult sized equipment that is taking up a lot of space that we would love to part with. As for helmets, due to expiration dates we usually do not see very many though our program.

Throughout the season, we will be meeting families by the donation bin located by Rink A in the Bell Aliant Centre every Saturday at 11:00 A.M. At this time, we will also allow families to access the equipment room in the basement of the complex. We would like to thank everyone that has donated hockey equipment to our Used Gear Program at Bell Aliant Centre over the past few seasons and we are very happy to have a new gear bin placed at Simmons Sports Centre.
