Speedskating
2013-10-24CMHA would like to encourage our players to try an alternate winter sport. Speedskating would be a good way to improve certain aspects of skating and conditioning.
Speed Skate PEI is having a Come and Try Speedskating session on Saturday, Oct 26 from 11:30 until 12:30 at the Charlottetown Civic Centre. This is an opportunity open to any interested in learning more about speed skating, and trying out their skating skills on the long bladed speed skates. Skaters interested in trying speed skating should bring with them their helmet, neck guard, shin pads (soccer type is best), knee pads and leather or nylon gloves (hockey gloves, ski gloves or mitts). This is a free session and open to all. For anyone interested in watching speed skating in action, the Club’s senior skaters will be having a training session immediately following the Try it session, so feel free to stay and watch.
