Equipment Available
2012-11-03We have a good selection of used gear available. Please see the website tab Used Hockey Gear.
On October 6th Charlottetown Minor Hockey Association held a “Gear Exchange Day” in the CARI lobby.
Thanks to the generosity of other families, we were able help close to 50 children. Several families traded gear that their child had grown out of for bigger equipment. Additionally, we were able to provide entire sets of equipment for many kids that had no gear whatsoever.
With the success of this event, we intend to hold another gear exchange day in January. In 2013, we will hold the gear exchange day during registration and again after the Christmas holidays.
We would also like to thank everyone that has tossed used equipment into our “Minor Hockey Gear Donation Box” at CARI. There has been a steady flow of quality equipment and it seems to be gaining momentum. CMHA has been given approval to place a donation box at Simmons, we are currently trying to find one that is suitable.
There is now a list of our available equipment posted under the “Used Gear” tab on our website.
Our goal is to have more children playing hockey in Charlottetown, hopefully, offsetting some costs will make this happen. Thank You for supporting this program.
