All AAA Teams and Anyone else who would like to pitch in:

Our Director of Hospitality, Tammy Muirhead, for the Spud Minor Hockey tournament has asked that we pass along this general letter.  Please do your best to complete your obligations to the tournament.  The Spud is the premier minor hockey tournament in Atlantic Canada.  Charlottetown's welcoming attitude is a big reason for its' success.

37th Charlottetown Spud AAA Minor Hockey Tournament

Sponsored by Mark’s Work Wearhouse

Feb 2-5, 2012

The Charlottetown Spud is a major fundraiser for the Charlottetown Minor Hockey Association. Plenty of volunteers are needed for the success of the weekend.

The Spud is known as a great tournament, and it would not be such a success without good old ‘Island hospitality’. We are known for our great hospitality rooms which include potato chowder generously donated by the Culinary Institute, Tim Horton’s hot coffee, loads of sandwiches from the sandwich committee, veggie/fruit trays from the spud committee and, of course, the donations from each team. Each team is required to host and supply food for the hospitality rooms. When I have the game schedule I will forward a hospitality schedule for your team, which is to be filled out and returned as soon as possible. If you are assigned a time that is not convenient for you, please find a replacement from your team. We would greatly appreciate your help in this matter. Thank you in advance for your time and generosity.

Please bring 6 dozen goodies for the hospitality room. Muffins, biscuits (jam and butter), cinnamon rolls, cereal bars, or donuts go over well in the morning. If bringing timbits, please bring 8 dozen, as they go very quickly. Sweets or cheese and cracker plates are more suitable for the afternoon or evening. Please do not bring sandwiches, as these are already provided. For those parents who are not scheduled to work the hospitality room please note that you are scheduled to drop off your food at a designated time. For those parents scheduled to work the hospitality room, you bring your food at the same time.

Once again thank you for your cooperation, have a great spud weekend. Good luck in your games. Go Abbies go!!!
