Updated COVID Guidance: Vax Pass Ending

2022-02-28

The Vax Pass is no longer required for hockey.

The Vax Pass program has ended on PEI. Other rules are relaxing regarding close contacts. Please review the following and continue to periodically check in on the COVID-19 page for CMHA-specific news.
  • Positive Test or Exposure
    • If a member of a team tests positive for COVID-19:
      1. Isolate immediately (7 days for fully vaccinated, 10 days for not fully vaccinated).
      2. Contact the team rep and work with this person to identify close contacts.
      3. Have the team rep contact the CMHA executive.
    • A non-household close contact is someone who, during someone's infectious period (48 hours before symptoms, or, if no symptoms, 48 hours before the positive test was taken), the infectious person:
      1. Had face to face interation with indoors or outdoors for at least 15 minutes, including 15 minutes in total over a 24 hour period.
      2. Was within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes, including 15 minutes in total over a 24 hour period.
      3. Was hugging, kissing, coughing, or sneezing near.
      4. Provided care to them at home.
      • Note: If the infectious person properly wore a well-fitting mask for the duration of the interaction, this is not considered a close contact situation.
    • Once identified as a non-household close contact:
      • You are not required to isolate.
      • You must wear a properly fitted, three-layer cloth mask or medical mask outside your home (and as much as possible during physical/recreational activities).
      • Work from home where possible.
      • Practice physical distancing at the workplace including while eating or drinking.
      • Be tested on the fourth day after the close contact situation.
