Public Health Measures for Out-of-Province Tournaments for Children Under 12
2021-12-03Effective December 3rd, there will be no interprovincial tournaments for children under 12 years old.
- Effective Friday, December 3 at 8:00 am until early January, the following measures will be in place:
- Children under the age of 12 years will be unable to travel interprovincially for the purpose of participating in sports tournaments or events.
- PEI cannot host interprovincial tournaments for children under 12 years of age.
- Provincial tournaments (within PEI) are permitted, as are provincial and interprovincial sports tournaments and events for those 12 years of age and older.
- PEI children under the age of 12 years can attend out of province tournaments and events as spectators but they may not participate in those events.
- The CPHO has indicated that these measures will be in place until early January and will be re-evaluated at that time.
