COVID Update - Commissionaires at the Bell Aliant Centre
2021-11-17There are now commissionaires working part-time at the Bell Aliant Centre.
There are now commissionaires working at the Bell Aliant Centre to aid in the Vax Pass process. They do not replace the need for each team to have a Vax Pass checker. The aim is for them to be present from 4:00-8:00 pm on weekdays and at the busiest times of the weekend.

- The commissionaires are there so volunteers do not need to stay at the spectator table 30 minutes into the start of an ice time.
- Once the bulk of the spectators have been Vax Passed, the volunteers can then enter the arena and the commissionaire will take over Vax Pass checking anyone arriving late to the game.
- When the commissionaires are not present groups will remain responsible to Vax Pass all spectators entering the arena for their ice times.
- The commissionaires will not be Vax Passing anyone involved with the "On-Ice Cohorts". This is still the organization's responsibility as rules for participants under 18 are different.
- The commissionaires will need to see proper proof of vaccination and ID for everyone they are Vax Passing. If spectators they arrive late, the commissionaire will not have records of whose previously shown proof and will need to see it.
