Hockey PEI Return to Hockey Plan 2021-22

Hockey PEI has released its Return to Hockey Plan for 2021-22. The plan can be viewed in its entirety here. CMHA has a COVID-19 page that will be regularly updated as information is given to us. This can be accessed here.

A few key points:

• The Hockey Canada Planning a Safe Return to Hockey (COVID Module) is not a requirement for Team officials this season. It is, however. available for those who wish to complete it.
• Cohort limits may have changed/increased.
• Contact tracing requirements for all ice-times remain in effect until further notice as per the government's indoor gathering guidelines.
• Masks are required to be worn by players, team staff, and officials in certain areas while inside the facility. It is recommended that masks be worn by spectators in certain areas while inside the facility (see plan).
• Hygiene will always be of utmost importance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Ensure hands are washed/sanitized regularly, equipment is kept clean, there is no yelling or spitting (on or off the ice), and as always if you are feeling unwell, stay home.
• Interprovincial play and tournaments are now permitted based on the current government guidelines for off-island travel and sporting events. Members are reminded that permits for both interprovincial travel and tournament sanctioning must be obtained.
