A Note Regarding Emails & General Communication
2019-09-26A brief explanation for why you are getting so many emails!
Email Frequency
Here we are in the midst of preparing for another year of hockey. You may have noticed that the frequency of emails coming from the Charlottetown Minor Hockey Association has increased again during this period. Unfortunately, because of the information management system we use, we cannot address league-specific individuals without addressing the entire association until each player is assigned to a team within the system. As a result, you may find yourself combing through emails in order to find information that is relevant to you and/or your child.
Every effort is made to reduce the number of emails that are sent (by combining similar emails for multiple leagues, etc.), but we still want to ensure that all important information is shared with the relevant people.
At the same time, we don't want to cause frustration and fill up your inboxes. If you find this to be the case, you may wish to unsubscribe from our email list. This hyperlink can be found at the bottom of each email. Please note that if you choose to unsubscribe, you may miss out on important information pertaining to you and your child.
We appreciate your patience as we make every effort to sort out the logistics of ensuring that each individual has an enjoyable year of minor hockey.
Sharing Information with CMHA
If you have information that you wish to be disseminated to the members of the Charlottetown Minor Hockey Association, please email Alex at alex.macbain@cmhapei.ca. This is a great way to celebrate one's hockey achievements, promote charitable efforts related to hockey, etc.
If, for example, you are the manager of a team that has won a tournament, we ask that you email a short write-up, accompanied with any photos, to the above email address. You can click through our news archive for examples of this.
Please note that as we are a non-profit organization, we do not offer promotions to for-profit businesses. We reserve the right to refrain from sharing posts for any reason.
Also note that this is meant for association-wide sharing. If you have team news, please continue sharing it as before.
