Three Former CMHA Players Drafted to the QMJHL
2019-06-10Congratulations to Jacob Squires, Alex Graham, and Matt McQuaid.
The Charlottetown Minor Hockey Association would like to congratulate Jacob Squires, Alex Graham, and Matt McQuaid on being selected in the 2019 QMJHL Entry Draft.
Squires was selected in the 3rd round, 39th overall by the Memorial Cup Champion Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. He played last year with the Charlottetown Pride.
Graham was selected in the 9th round, 147th overall by the hometown Charlottetown Islanders. He also played with the Charlottetown Pride last season.
McQuaid was also selected in the 9th round, 157th overall by the Charlottetown Islanders. He played with the Island-winning Kensington Wild last year.
The three played together most recently with the 2017-2018 Bantam AAA Central Attack. We wish best of luck to these up-and-comers as they progress in their hockey careers.
