Peewee AAA Charlottetown Abbies Team Announcement

Charlottetown MHA has officially notified Hockey PEI that after many efforts they are unable to offer a Peewee AAA team for the 2018-2019 season. They have requested a one year
leave of absence which has been granted.

As a result of this decision, Hockey PEI will provide an opportunity for Charlottetown MHA eligible players to attend tryouts for the Sherwood Peewee AAA team for this season. This decision is based on transfer regulations and fall under “Program Not Offered” for Charlottetown players based on the following conditions:

• Charlottetown MHA through a selection process shall deem which players are eligible and capable to play at the Pee Wee AAA level. These identified players shall be offered a tryout with the Sherwood Peewee AAA team.
• Players that did not attend tryouts for the Charlottetown Peewee AAA team would be deemed ineligible.
• Charlottetown MHA will provide to Hockey PEI and Sherwood MHA a list of players that would be deemed eligible to attend tryouts.
• Players that attend tryouts with Sherwood MHA, if released they will return to Charlottetown MHA for Peewee AA tryouts.
• Any transfers approved to Sherwood Peewee AAA will only be for this year and all players will return to Charlottetown MHA at the conclusion of the season.
