3rd Annual Street-Fest Road Hockey Tournament
2018-05-07The 3rd Annual Tournament hosted by the Summerside Recreational Hockey League will be held from June 1st-3rd, 2018.
The Summerside Recreational Hockey League, located in Summerside P.E.I. Canada is the oldest Recreational Hockey Leagues east of Montreal. On the Weekend of June 1st-3rd, 2018 the SRHL is hosting its 3rd Annual Street-Fest Road Hockey Tournament.
In the first year, 18 teams registered. In the second year, 40 teams registered. This year, there is a maximum of 80 teams across multiple divisions, including Men’s A, B, C, and D (max 32 teams), Women’s B and C (max 8 teams), Boys’ Skills, Novice, Atom, Peewee, and Bantam (max 40 teams), and Girls’, which will be determined by level of interest. Adult division placement will be determined by skill level, and Youth division placement will be determined by the past year’s ice hockey age.
The tournament is being held in Summerside, with all games being played at the Credit Union Place. Play will run from Friday, June 1st at 5:00 P.M. through 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 3rd. Canteen services and other vendors will be there!
Interested teams should register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The first 80 teams registered and paid in full will be accepted. After May 15th, the registration fee is non refundable.
The total cash prize pool will be determined by the number of teams registered in each division.

- Teams will consist of four players and a goalie.
- Each game will consist of three twelve-minute periods.
- Play will be 3 on 3 with a goalie and one player on the bench.
- There is a four-game guarantee with a six-game maximum.
- No slap shots are allowed in any division.
- All youth players must wear a helmet, gloves, and shin pads; this equipment is recommended in adult divisions.
- Men’s and Women’s registration is $150 per team.
- Youth Atom, Peewee, and Bantam registration is $100 per team.
- Youth Skills and Novice registration is $80 per team.
- Registration fees can be paid through e-transfer to Aaron Doyle (aarondoyle@eastlink.ca).
Prizes:
- Men’s A, B, C, and D: total cash prize pool of $700.
- Women’s B and C: total cash prize pool of $200.
- Boys’ Atom, Peewee, and Bantam: total cash prize pool of $225.
- Boys’ Skills and Novice: total cash prize pool of $100.
- Cash prizes and awards will be given for all division winners, and merchandise and other prizes will be given for runners-up.
