There are two more tryouts for the Atom AAA Central Storm (Saturday, September 30th, and Sunday, October 1st). Note that the tryout on Saturday is the Jamboree in Pownal, and only invited players will attend.

Atom AA Charlottetown Abbies (Tryouts)
Hello Everyone, The 2017/18 hockey season is fast approaching, and with that, tryouts are here. I would ask anyone interested in trying out for the Mike Hennebury Sr. Memorial Atom AA Abbies to please pre-register by emailing our manager Jo-Anne at jogauthier96@gmail.com. We are accepting E-Transfer of the tryout costs to the above email address (or tack271@yahoo.ca); cash or cheques made out to “Charlottetown Atom AA Team” will be accepted at the first tryout date. This year’s tryout costs are $50 for the first four tryout dates and $20 for the final two. Please provide us your player’s name, preferred position, and contact information (parents' names, email address and phone number).
If your player has tried out for the AAA Abbies and did not get picked, then you do not have to pay for tryouts at the AA Abbies equal to the number of tryouts paid to them (i.e. if you paid for the initial four AAA tryouts, then the first four with us are free).
The tryout schedule is as follows:

Please check in at the table inside the front door of Simmons Rink 30 minutes prior to the first tryout session.
Please see the information provided below to let you know about the overall expectations for the Mike Hennebury Sr. Memorial Atom AA Abbies hockey team. We want to ensure all players & parents know about the expectations before tryouts begin.

1. Early morning practice will be on Wednesday mornings at 6:00 AM at the MacLaughlin Arena

2. Atom AA Rep Fees - run upwards of $500 to $600 for ice rentals, tournament entry fees, and team fees. This varies depending on fundraising efforts put on by the team.

3. 3 to 4 tournaments during the hockey season with 1 off island tournament.

4. 3 to 4 ice times each week, when the season begins which includes practices & games.

5. Parent’s Meeting to be held after team selection and prior to first practice.

6. Overall team first approach with a positive, respectful and energetic attitude.

All players attending tryouts must be registered with the Charlottetown Minor Hockey Association for the 2017/2018 hockey season before the first tryout date of October 1st or they cannot tryout.
We look forward to seeing all CMHA Atom aged players out for tryouts.

Novice AA Charlottetown Abbies (Tryouts)
Novice AA tryouts begin in one week, on Tuesday, October 3rd.
The following is a message from Novice AA coach, Chris Silvaggio:

Hello Everyone,
We are excited to get the 2017/18 minor hockey season underway and would like to ask everyone interested in trying out for Novice AA to pre-register by emailing Chris Silvaggio at chris.silvaggio@gmail.com. Please provide us with the player’s name, preferred position, and contact information (parents' names, email address, and phone number).
The fee for the 5 tryout sessions will be $60.
The tryout schedule is as follows:

Friday, October 6th at 5:10 P.M. @ Simmons
Sunday, October 8th at 11:30 A.M. @ Simmons
Tuesday, October 10th at 5:45 P.M. @ Bell Aliant Centre Rink B
Thursday, October 12th at 4:30 P.M. @ Bell Aliant Centre Rink B

We want everyone to understand that playing Novice AA has an extra cost and time commitment. As a result, an additional rep fee is budgeted for at the first of the year on a per player basis. Amounts are not known at this time, but historically it can be approximately $500 to $600.
All players attending must be registered with Charlottetown Minor Hockey for the 2017/18 season prior to the first ice time on Tuesday, October 3rd, or they will not be permitted on the ice.
