2017-06-22

Bantam AAA Central Attack announces new head coach for the 2017-18 season.

The Central Attack announced today that Jeff MacDonald has been named the new Head Coach of their Major Bantam AAA hockey team.

MacDonald, who is a high school teacher, has a wealth of experience coaching at the Major Midget and Midget AAA levels. He was also an assistant coach with the 2011 Men’s Canada Games hockey team and served as an assistant coach for Team Atlantic, at the 2012 World Under 17 Hockey Championship.

“I am extremely excited to be named the Head Coach of the Central Attack”, said MacDonald. “After meeting with the executive, we share the same thoughts and philosophies on the direction the program.”

MacDonald has had a lot of success, winning multiple Provincial and Atlantic Championships. He has also lead teams to championships at the Monctonian, winning in 2007 and 2009 at the Minor Midget level, and the Major Midget division in 2010. He has a great reputation amongst players who have played for him in the past and is thrilled about the opportunity to coach at the Major Bantam level.

“I can’t stress enough the importance of building a top-notch program. That is our goal here. It’s a new beginning for the program, it’s a new beginning for me, and I can’t wait to get started."
