The CMHA is unable to offer a team at the “AA” Category of hockey for those Bantam aged players whom have registered with the Association.
The number of players that have shown interest in playing “AA” for this upcoming 2016-17 season were far fewer than required to meet the Minimum Roster Size as required by HPEI which is 15 skaters and 2 goaltenders.
The CMHA will have “A” hockey for Bantam aged players registered for this season, the Head Coach is Josh Beaton and ice times will begin shortly.
Players wishing to play “AA” may attend tryouts with our next closest Minor Hockey Association offering Bantam AA hockey which is Sherwood. The SPRMHA have agreed to welcome any players wishing to attend their tryouts which begin this weekend as outlined below.
NOTE: any CMHA registered player who is rostered with the Sherwood Bantam AA team for the 2016-17 season will receive a one-year transfer under the HPEI Minor Hockey Transfer-Not Offered Regulation.
IMPORTANT: If you wish to try out for the Sherwood team, please indicate by return email to vernon.doyle@cmhapei.ca ASAP so that your name can then be forwarded to HPEI and the Sherwood Association, this is required in order for you to attend tryouts, the Sherwood Association will not let you on the ice for tryouts if your name has not been forwarded by the CMHA.
The Sherwood tryout for Bantam AA is below, there is a $10.00 fee for each tryout you attend which must be paid before your child participates.
