Hockey Day in PEI festivities on Saturday at the Eastlink Centre

See our Peewee AA team in action to kick off Hockey Day in PEI.
Great day of Hockey activities happening at the Eastlink Centre. The day will begin with our Charlottetown PeeWee AA Abbies playing Pownal PeeWee AA hitting the ice at 12:45 p.m. for a minor hockey game.
Then at 3 p.m., the Islanders will host the Rimouski Oceanic for a big two points in the standings against the defending QMJHL champions.
The Eastlink Centre "Fun Zone" will open up during the Islanders game at 5 p.m. as the Trade Centre gets taken over with a number of different activities provided by Par-T-Perfect PEI, Papa John's, Andrews Hockey and Source for Sports Charlottetown.
At 5:45 p.m., ticket holders will be able to catch some live wrestling action as Kowboy Mike Hughes goes head-to-head with the stars of Red Rock Wrestling to defend his Heavyweight title over in the Trade Centre.
“Being a part of family orientated event like this is just what Red Rock Wrestling is all about,” said Hughes.
“This will be a great opportunity for us to get to showcase our talents to fans who may not have seen Red Rock Wrestling and an opportunity for wrestling fans to be exposed to live hockey as well.”
The Panthers will round up the day's activities as the second half of their season gets underway again at 7 PM to take on the Dalhousie Tigers as part of the Hockey Day in PEI festivities on Saturday.
“We’re really looking forward to a strong second half,” said MacKinnon. For MacKinnon, it will be his second year participating in Hockey Day in PEI, only this time with a different team.
“Hockey Day in PEI is a special day for Islanders to enjoy hockey throughout the day by being able to see all of the leagues on PEI,” he said. “It’s a great event and was very special to be a part of last year.”
Islanders President of Operations Craig Foster said the day is a great opportunity for hockey fans to catch two big teams in action.
