Let's celebrate the Abbies life hockey season together at the rink and around town!
Reminder - Great weekend of Abbies Hockey ahead with our community! Let's wear our Abbies wear & jerseys proud starting with a kickoff community breakfast on Saturday from 8-10 following by floor hockey with our Bantam AAA team taking on all challengers at West Royalty School!
Lots of great activities this holiday season happening around with our extended hockey family. Charlottetown Minor Hockey has arranged for most teams from IP to Midget for home games at Simmons Sportsplex or the CARI Complex. Great day to see your Abbies team in action and enjoy the season! Kick off the next Saturday with a community Pancake Breakfast at West Royalty School
West Royalty Home & School will be hosting a community Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 12th from 8:00-10:00 a.m. with proceeds going towards supporting their Christmas families project. Adult tickets are $6, child tickets are $5 and family of (4) ticket is $20. Tickets are available at the school this week and at the door.
Come on out, enjoy a pancake breakfast with your team, neighbors, staff from the school, and members of the Home and School Association.
Floor Hockey fun games with the Central Attack Bantam AAA team
Charlottetown Minor Hockey will host floor hockey games in the West Royalty School gym (after your big breakfast!) from 9:00–11:00 am with the Central Attack Bantam AAA team leading up the fun times. Please bring indoor sneakers, hockey gloves / helmets and a sock on your hockey stick.
Santa will also be stopping by to see the kids at West Royalty School!
CMHA gives back this Holiday Season with Santa's Angels
Charlottetown Minor Hockey is looking to get in the Christmas spirit and give back to those in need in our community. CMHA is looking to collect new toys/teddy bears (unwrapped) and non-perishable contents for a turkey dinner (e.g. boxed stuffing, canned cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, canned soups and stews).
A donation box is set up at Simmons Sports Arena to allow for people to drop off items. We ask that you leave a note with each item you drop off so we know what team the item is coming from. Each item is equal to one point. The teams with the most points at the end will receive the prizes. Final day for items is next Saturday, December 12.
7th Annual TDISC Santa 5K Run or 3K Walk/Run
Saturday, December 12, 9am Start (Registration 8 am)
UPEI Murphy Student Union Building
Cost by Donation with Lot's of Prizes, Food and Fun!
**All proceeds go to local families at Christmas.
Sport Team Challenge
Any sport team or group who has 10 or more members participate in the TDISC Santa Run/Walk and raises $100 (collectively) will receive 1 Free Team Training Session at Synergy Fitness & Nutrition. Each team/group will also go into a draw to win tickets for their team/group to attend a Charlottetown Junior Islanders Hockey game.
Lots of great Abbies wear at our local sports stores - get a new Tee or touque for the winter and support your team!
Wear your jersey next Saturday off the ice to show off your Abbies spirit - Tweet us our team pictures at @CMHAAbbies and we will retweet / post the best pictures of spirit to our Facebook page!
