Welcome Back for another exciting season of Hockey in Charlottetown!

After the last few weeks of summer weather on P.E.I., the rink is probably looking pretty good right about now. The Charlottetown Minor Hockey Executive have been busy over the summer with our team coaching selection, ice schedule updates and website upgrades. Lots of new and exciting things happening this coming season at Charlottetown Hockey - stay tuned!

Tryouts for AAA & AA teams (Novice to Midget) start mid September
Are you looking for an extra challenge this coming season? Tryout sessions will be held starting at the AAA level approx Sept 15 and AA level approx Oct 1. These 2 levels have additonal practices, games and travel tournaments in and out of the province based on the team developed plan for the season. With the extra ice time and travel, comes additonal costs that are split among the players on the team. More information for male & female AAA & AA tryouts will be published & emailed out in the coming weeks.

All A level or recreational hockey teams are currently planned to be on the ice Saturday, October 3 with regular ice times starting that week.

Season Registration for male and female players is now open online until October 2, 2015 with VISA / MasterCard / PayPal. There will be only 1 in-person registration date at CARI Saturday Sept.12th 10 AM - 2 PM for cash / cheque payments. All players must be registered using the on-line registration system on our website.  This allows parents to register and pay by VISA/MasterCard, cash or cheque. Players must be registered on-line and payment made before their first ice session (conditioning camp, tryout, practice or game). For those who wish to pay by cheque or cash or post dated payments, they must register on-line first and select cash or cheque as the payment method. At the in-person registration session, there will only be a limited number of computers available, so please register from home if possible.

Registration Fees
The rates below are in effect for the 2015-16 season. You must fill out a separate registration and payment for each player being registered. 

• Resident $350
• Resident Family (3rd and subsequent player) $220
• Resident New Member First Time (ALL NEW PLAYERS, excluding transfers) $200
• Non Resident $470
• Non Resident Family (3rd and subsequent player) $340

For KidSport registrations to be completed, the KidSport P.E.I. approval letter for this season must be presented to our CMHA Registrar, Cory Gaudet, no later than October 2, 2015 or the registration will not be completed.

Charlottetown Minor Hockey will host development sessions from October to January for skaters and goalies in Atom to Peewee levels on Sunday mornings at the Simmons Sportsplex. More information will be published & emailed out in the coming weeks.

Jersey Deposit
The association has lost a number of jerseys in recent seasons from players that have refused to return the jerseys or want to keep them as a souvenir. To minimize and assist with the replacement cost of the jerseys, the CMHA is implementing a Jersey Deposit for each player / season. After your team is confirmed for the season in October, the coach/manager will be distributing the team jerseys and collecting a jersey deposit fee in the form of a post-dated cheque made out to Charlottetown Minor Hockey dated April 1, 2016. No Deposit, no jersey and no game play for your athlete. If you have old jerseys at home from previous seasons, please drop off at Halliwell Consulting’s office – 53 Watts Avenue in the West Royalty Business Park – weekdays between 9 am-5 pm.
